They're Here!

Actually, we are back - no one is here. Just us! But we are home and I am up to my ears in laundry and messy house. I am also in a post-vacation funk. Why can't everyday be a day where the biggest decision is if we are going to get an ice cream cone or a shaved ice when we ride down to the village?

I will post some pictures and details of our awesome family vacation later. Right now I just want to brag that I have read (skimmed) almost 275 e-mails and checked (mostly) over 300 blog posts that came while I was gone. Some of you were very prolific over the last 10 days.

Blogging will be a priority this week, but I must tend to the afore-mentioned laundry and the fact that we have no food in the house. I am down one slave (he is in California with his Uncle and Aunt) and the remaining three think that the school clothes shopping has to start right now. I need to schedule more eye dr. appointments, register the middle child in Junior High, prepare a RS lesson, make new dentist appointment for the one we forgot about two weeks ago, schedule orthodontist appointment, go to the post office to pick up all of our held mail and make dinner for our neighbors. And, my 13 year old daughter convinced me to start reading the Twilight series again before the 4th book comes out next month. I don't know why those stupid books suck me in but they are doing it again and I may not get anything done this week.

We missed you guys so much and are very glad you are home!
I am sure your daughter had to try "real hard" to get you to read the Twilight series again:)

I think rereading twilight is necessary. I am going to reread eclipse; I've already forgotten the whole story!

Welcome back! So glad that you had such a great time. I agree it is so hard to come back and live in the real world again with the laundry and the shopping and the messes.
I want to reread the Twilight series too but like you I will get sucked back in and nothing will happen here so I am trying to etch out the perfect week where there isn't so much happening. I'm not so sure that week exists but I'm sure trying.
Love the new blog look makes me want to say the Pledge of Allegiance all of a sudden :)

Welcome back, welcome to reality!! It is wonderful to getaway, it's a lot of work too! Can you believe summer is half way over! Oh, don't start the Twilight books until you are caught up with life again! Something about them does suck you IN. I can't wait for the fourth book.

Thanks for sending us your "slave"! We are so excited to have him here - hopefully we will send him back to you withOUT any scars this time :) Since I'm still on crutches, I'm looking forward to tagging along with the boys on all of their adventures and just taking a lot of pictures...which I'm sure will end up on my blog! BTW, what are these Twilight books? Do I need to start reading them?

I think I'm in a no-vacation funk--I desparately need a vacation from the laundry, the errands and the dr appts! Glad you had such a fun time. I wanted to re-read the Twilight books too--and then I remembered I'd loaned the 2nd one to my sis-in-law and the 3rd one to my sister--and I think Jordyn is reading the first one. I am out of luck!

Can't wait to hear about your trip. It's fun to go away, but so hard to get back into the swing of things. You reminded me of all the things I need to start thinking about, like school shopping and dr. appointments. School will be here before we know it!!
