We Came, We Saw, We Were Not Disappointed

Courtney and I saw the movie this morning with our friends Shannon and Samantha. We saw another Mom and daughter duo from our ward. I can't say that I loved it. I went with pretty low expectations but I will admit that right as the title sequence started, I grabbed Courtney's hand. The anticipation was killing me!
I love how blood thirsty Shannon and Samantha look with their red eyes!

During the movie, there was so much laughter - but I'm not sure that the movie makers were going for a comedy. It was pretty campy, a little melodramatic - just like the books I guess. Just like teenagers.

The movie ended just perfectly for the next installment and I am sure that when that comes around in a couple of years, I will be holding Courtney's hand in anticipation once again.

Hi Jolene- I went with a group of friends and saw 'Twilight' late last night. Just like you guys, there was some laughter (and a little bit of talking back to the screen), and I agree that it was melodramatic, but it grew on me and we had a good time. You and Shannon look very cute with you girls.

I bet your girls could hardly wait!! Everyone cheered in our theatre at the first kiss! :) I liked the ending too.
Hey, I gave it another shot for our March event? Sorry I am such a retard??

Jordyn and I saw it today with my friend and her daughter..Natalie and I giggled and laughed through the whole lame thing--but our daughters LOVED it! I'll definitely see the next one--hopefully they'll get a better screenwriter?

I guess I should read the books. This whole Twilight phenomenon is crazy!! Are the books really that good?

Julie - you should read the books. They aren't particularly well written or deep but there is something to them that sucks you in and all of a sudden, it is like you are in high school again. I loved that part of it.

Nic - I wish you and Jordyn could have been here to see it with us. Those three drama queens together would have been priceless.

Ahhh good times.

I saw it on Saturday with Sarah, and honestly, I didn't like it at all. It was choppy and didn't have very good acting. But, hey, you can't possibly get anywhere near as good as the book. Oh well... we still have New Moon!

Personally, I loved it. I went into it knowing their would be some cheesy lines and a low budget. So I was very happy. I will post about it soon.

Haven't seen it yet, but am looking forward to it. My boys were all sick this weekend, which kind of ruined a chance at a "Girl's Night Out".

I loved the lines of Twilight shirts you shared. I had a good laugh and really needed one tonight.

Kendree said she laughed through most of it too - kinda cheezy, but better than what she was expecting.

I thought your comment on Edward's sucking Bella's blood was really interesting.

I wonder if Stephenie Meyer told them that was in Midnight Sun or if they came up with that interpretation on their own. Enquiring minds want to know!
